Our Stay & Play group – a group for parents, babies and toddlers – was as busy as ever last year.
Even though we had to split the group into three groups to abide by the government restrictions everyone still had a lot of fun, with 30 parents/carers and 61 children attending the sessions.
During lockdowns we have been able to support our Stay & Play families with home visits, phone calls and we even sent some fun activity bags for children with arts and crafts and instruments to use whilst doing home sing – alongs with Lucy.
Here are some comments from our awesome parents / carers:
“My little girl loved the craft packs over lockdown that the staff from stay and play made and dropped off for them (socially distanced). These packs kept the little one busy for hours and she really enjoyed doing them all” – Emma
“The group has helped my daughter grow in confidence, as well as interact with children of different ages to help build as understanding of sharing, kindness and empathy.” – Emily
“The craft packs were great, sent some home with children and did some at mine, really appreciate being given them, good selection of craft stuff, thanks.” – Katherine
“It was wonderful to receive the amazing craft packs during lockdown. It meant so much to me to know that somebody out there was thinking of us and the children were really excited with the little glue and paint pots to get creative with. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in to making up and delivering the packs we really appreciate it.” – Trisha
“Stay & Play helped us to meet other families in the neighbourhood and helped build a strong sense of community. That allowed us to have a support group to speak to as new parents. It is amazing.” – Emily
