Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus lockdown, we are unable to run our regular programme of activities.

However together with some amazing local organisations – Bridge Street Church, Burmantofts Elderly Action, Community Unity, Learning Partnership, Leeds Mencap, Newbourne Church, Richmond Hill Elderly Action, St. Hilda’s Church, St. Vincent’s Support Centre, Touchstone and Zarach, we have formed Burmantofts and Richmond Hill Voluntary Sector Hub, working with Leeds City Council, Voluntary Action Leeds and local volunteers to support the community at this difficult time.

Over the last few weeks our 29 awesome volunteers have been busy offering personal shopping, delivering emergency food hampers, picking up and dropping off prescriptions.

Many isolated and lonely people get a phone call just to be able to chat. We are supporting our parents through phone calls and texts from trained volunteers and we have a dedicated email for parents to send us any questions on how to deal with those unwanted behaviours, that can intensify in the lockdown situation.

If you are struggling during this season do get in touch with us by email to hello@project-hope.co.uk and we will do our best to help in any way we can. Plus, if you a parent, please check out our Family Lockdown Ideas Page for some fun activities and arts and crafts you can do with your children.

If you would like to give towards our Coronavirus Food Poverty Relief Appeal then you can do so via Local Giving here.
