Due to the Coronavirus crisis many families and vulnerable and elderly individuals in Leeds are facing increased food poverty due to no access to free school meals, being unable to access food due to self-isolation, problems with delivery slots, or the normal channels of support such as family members or neighbours not being available too due to sickness or need for self-isolation.
How the funding will be spent:
We will use the funding to buy and deliver food to those who don’t have access to food during the Coronavirus Crisis. £10000 will enable us to support around 400 individuals/ families.
How this will benefit the community:
We are working with Leeds City Council, other local organisations and faith groups to ensure that no one in our local community goes hungry and without support during the Coronavirus crisis.
